Balfour Community Park

At the end of Charles St., just past the Balfour Community Hall, you will find our two hard surface tennis courts and our large playing field.  Both tennis courts have been modified to accommodate pickle ball, one of the fastest growing sports in North America.

The Balfour Community Park is currently undergoing a revitalization project through support from the Columbia Basin Trusts Outdoor Revitalization Program and the Regional District of Central Kootenay.  To learn more about this project and to stay apprised of progress, click HERE.

The Tennis & Pickleball facility located at the Balfour Community Park is open from April (or when the snow leaves us) through to the end of October.  This facility is open for community use and is available to Balfour Recreation Commission members for an annual fee of $40 or on a drop-in basis for $5 per visit.

This facility is home to the 'sunny season' of the West Arm Pickleball Club which provides a well organized avenue to get out doors, enjoy some exercise and have a bunch of fun with like-minded pickleballers!  For more information on the West Arm Pickleball Club and to get a hold of their organizer, Kim Palfenier, please click the button below.

Located adjacent to our tennis & pickle ball courts, you will find the newly built gazebo & BBQ facility at the head of our large playing field.  Home to our annual Balfour Daze celebration, our playing fields consist of a full size soccer pitch with goal nets in position during the soccer season.  We also have a back stop for use in casual ball games and a public restroom facility.

Field rental rate is $25 per hour
