Balfour Playing Courts

Welcome to the Balfour Playing Courts, home to a very active Tennis and Pickleball community consisting of residents and visitors of Balfour and area during our 'sunny' season.

The Balfour Playing Courts are located adjacent the Balfour Community Park at the end of Charles St. just minutes East of the Balfour Ferry Landing.  Our Playing Courts consist of two regulation size Tennis Courts OR four regulation Pickleball Courts and are open from April through to the end of October.  Additionally, 2022 marked the addition of a new dedicated Pickleball court as part of our nearly complete Outdoor Revitalization Project.

Access to the Balfour Playing Courts is provided on an annual or drop in basis.  Annual court use fee's can be purchased via the link below following purchase of your annual BRC Membership, a requirement for seasonal use of any BRC facility.  When visiting our online store, first visit the Balfour Recreation department to purchase your annual BRC Membership.  Following purchase you will be sent a confirmation e-mail which will provide a link to the BRC Member Store Page where you will find your Annual Playing Court Pass along with access to all other BRC Membership  PERKS.

DROP IN PLAYERS

For those wishing to use the Balfour Playing Courts on an occasional, drop in basis, the per player drop in fee is $8 currently and must be paid directly at the Balfour Golf Course golf shop.  Upon payment of drop in fee's, one of our golf shop attendants will provide a key for court access along with portable pickleball nets if they are required.  Key and net(s) must be returned the same day, prior to close of business at the golf course.

If you are a regular user of the Balfour Playing Courts as a pickleball player, we strongly encourage all Balfour Pickleball players to purchase their annual Pickleball Canada membership which will ensure ample coverage should you sustain injury while playing.  You can purchase your PBC membership by following THIS link.

To book your court time via our new holdmycourt.com booking engine, please click locate in the side bar of this page.  Maximum 7-day advance booking.  If you are booking a court as a  pickleball player, we ask that you please book your court time in sequence.  Courts one then two, three then four to help ensure we maximize availability as this facility gets busier in the summer time.
