The 2022 golf season is on the horizon and we are looking to add a few bodies to our operation for the coming season.  Read on to learn more about what these positions entail.

Golf Shop Personnel

  • provide an exceptional guest experience
  • assist in day to day operation of the golf shop including golfer check in, retail sales, merchandising, booking of tee times and execution of weekly league play
  • assist in Outside Services department when needed
  • perform other appropriate tasks as assigned by the General Manager
  • must have knowledge of computer operation and the ability to learn new programs
  • golf knowledge and/or retail sales experience considered a strong asset

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $16 - $17 per hour starting based on 20 – 40 hours per week

Outside Services

  • provide an exceptional guest experience
  • lead the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our power cart fleet and practice range
  • responsible for appearance upkeep around club house, practice range & cart wash station
  • helping to ensure that our overall guest experience reaches a consistently high level
  • opportunity to advance into golf shop department available to the right individual
  • must be able to lift heavy objects +/- 50 lb

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $15.20 - $16.50 per hour starting based on 20 – 40 hours per week

Administrative Assistant

  • Assist in grant sourcing, application, tracking and reporting
  • Assist Board of Directors and General Manager with the development, organization and promotion of community events and programming
  • Assist in social media presence for all Balfour Golf & Recreation facilities
  • Attend Board and Committee meetings as requested to ensure familiarity with with all aspects of BRC Board responsibilities, facilities and discussions, including bringing knowledge of provincial and regional support programs to the attention of the Board.
  • Assist with BRC membership management including maintaining accurate membership lists, processing applications, and communicating renewal requirements.
  • Assist with all aspects of the Annual General Meeting and/or other society meetings including notifications, ad placement, organization, taking minutes etc.
  • Other duties as may be agreed upon with the General Manager and Board of Directors

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $25 per hour based on 8 hours per week
